Yes , that's right . One new and the original pattern from the passenger side. The billet uprights are gold adonised and I had the gold hammerite anyway from doing the rear drums years ago .Werner Van Loock wrote:looking good, made 2 new ones, or is it one new and the original good one you also painted?

I considered rubbing down with wet and dry when the paint's 24 hours old but not having done it before , I'm not sure what the result might be

It's amazing how resilient & repairable GRP is.
Are you happy with the final finish ?? NOT REALLY -- that's why I'm getting on with the mechanical stuff that I understand BUT it is repaired at least , just looks obvious re- the paint
Just image the work if that had been a nice Ali bodied historic !
