Do they fit over the porsche style headlights?

If so, put me down for a set too.

Only if you fit the lights without the chrome surround and back into the wing far enough. Tim says they do but I tried fitting them to that green Stylus I sold on but the lights had been fitted VERY forward so couldn't do it
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Hello Rob, I'd like a set of light covers (for the green stylus) please. The car has standard mini headlights now, but as you say I may have to move the lights back a little .... but they need some work anyway. If it's possible let me know cost etc

Many thanks

OK kev , it's been noted . The way things are going with orders for light covers , Tim will have to order more that 10 sets :o

Back again in the world of all things Stylus.
Has there been any progress on lens covers?
If we were meant to walk we would not have invented the car. ;o))

Welcome back :) Yes , Tim has some on order and apart from a set for himself , I'll either buy the lot and sell individually less a pair for me OR if Tim prefers , he'll sell individually . When he gets them I'll flag it up on our website . I think it's 10 sets he's ordered . When anything Stylus is available , be it headrails , light covers , whatever , I'll flag it up on here  .

I have a back up ( sort of  ) if Tim doesn't come up with these covers .
By --sort of -- I mean that total orders would have to be 20 pairs minimum , to cover tooling , materials and manufacturing to keep them within 100 quid a set  expensive , I know , but it is a source if we're stuffed

Let's just see what Tim comes up with first ok :)

Which headlamp choice leaves the most space in the wheel arch?
I really like the lens covers, but I don't dislike the porche either!!

Might be hard to fit poly covers over Porsche style lights unless you re-fit them rearwards. Unless you fit the quads like Tim and I did then the best bet could be what Tony fitted in his rotary engined white Stylus -- twin lamps , just not sure of the source though :?: Tony :?: :?: :?:

Didn't make myself clear there, I haven't fitted any lights as yet! I have a virgin wing with no holes poked in it yet!!
With that in mind, I was asking what gives me the most clearance to the wheel, 7" lamp with polycarb covers, angel eyes/projector lamps with polycarb covers or Porsche/VW. I happen to prefer the tinted polycarb covers from an asthetic point of view.

Well now that mine(Porsche style) have been taken out in favour of quads then those out due to damage , it's hard to tell. What I can say is that if you intend lowering your car anywhere near close to 120mm under the front chassis rail --- then on braking and hard cornering the tyres will touch the f/glass pods. Using 14x 6 wheels with 185 x 60 tyres helps some --- they were SSC's original spec' around 5 yrs ago. Tim favours 195 x 45 profile on 15 x 7 wheels -- that also helps.

For info -- quads are short x 2 and long x 2 (long being 5.5 inches) I run 15x7 wheels offset ET15 with 205x50 profile tyres and they would clear the lamps even with a chassis height of 90 mm's BUT not on full lock . Being a track only car that was fine ---- just never turned anything like full lock but had to 7 point turn in the paddock . They were damaged because I carried a passenger at Cadwell but never having been there before , didn't realise how tight the corners were -- was having fun at virtually race pace and forgot about the clearance  So the passenger side tyre caught the adjusters on the back of the longest lamp --- ripped the tyre and the lamp

When you fit quads , one stays low closer to the engine -- the other fits high and towards the outside of the wing . It's only when the suspension dips under very hard cornering (the tyre diameter ''increases'' when locked  ) that potential damage is likely.

With the original spec' lamps , the pods covering the back are the rubbing point . I cut a large disc of f/glass , amounting to about 25mm depth , off the pod . That cleared everything all the time my chassis stayed at 115mm from the tarmac. I Sikaflexed a disc of rubber innertube over the back so that any contact wouldn't cause a hard hit

Tony's twin lamps (side by side  ) that he's recently fitted maybe shallower but I've no info . Contact him on PM then perhaps he'll measure them and tell you his chassis height :?:

Hope that helps :)

Tim's kept some for himself so 7 pairs arrived , 5 tinted , 2 clear -- 1 set tinted I'll keep for me.
That's 4 pairs tinted and 2 pairs clear available -- I've bought them all and they'll be £78 a set plus packing/post .

Can't be sure what pack/post will be till I've arrived at a good way to pack them --- bit worried regarding postal damage as they're not too careful throwing parcels around  The ARB's were too strong to break in the post but these are more delicate :?

Please send me a PM with your name and address if you want a set.

Now 1 pair clear left :!: . LOOKS like more will have to be ordered :o

Lambostylus - collected :)
Pete C - posted now  & received undamaged :o
Matt D - delivered :P
Camoradi - collected now :D Good to chat and meet :)
Antnicuk - collected :D

After this last set of clear covers are gone , I wont buy more , unless you flag it up on here. Then I'd order again from Tim.

Pic' shows one of each so you can see the ' tinted ' are only pale

In sorting camoradi's lenes , I've discovered the last set left aren't a pair --- sod it
