I asked my friendly seamstress about putting the name on the flag yesterday ----- she say YES
--------------- today she turned up with it done , brilliant
So all we need now is the pole then I'll stick it up in the garden for a test flight
Hi Rob.
I'll chip in to aid the cost when I next see you.
That's great Kevin , many thanks

Said pole arrived , as you can see and has our newly embroidered club flag flying in the breeze
It's only 4 ft long before extending it to the full 5 metres . I just drove a steel pipe into the lawn -- took the cap off the pole's end and slid it over
Even if nobody can buy a new car right now , they'll know who we are and what Stylus's look like

I'd like a toe in the water regarding interest in me getting Black caps made with ''Stylus Sports Cars'' embroidered above the peak/forehead area. The first letter of each word a capital in red followed by silver/white letters. Underneath the words would be a chequered flag blowing in the wind ie. not symetrical . I have one myself given to me from Tim .
I think with artwork plus a decent quality cap they could be bought for around £10 but that's a guess. If you fancy one and aren't too fussy whether the cost goes to more than a tenner , say 12/14 at a PUSH
Who's interested enough for me to go ahead then dish them out at Prescott
Apparently 10 would likely be the lowest order with embroidery

OK --- I'll start an order list for the caps to date and update as and when
Dave Huggett x 2
Rob Farley x 2
Matt Downes x 3
Ned x 2
DH2 X 2
Ian Minki x 1
That's 12 Stylus caps bought so far , leaving another 8 caps for sale as of 14th July

good to speak to you earlier today Rob. Amy and I are looking forward to seeing everyone at prescott. For those who haven't been there before, it is a fantastic location with a really good track. the Bugatti museum there is quite interesting too if you're into that sort of thing.
see you there!!!

Rob, I'll have 3, OK.
Plus 1 for Stylus's on the stand too - the purple V8 is coming.

You'll have to sit in everybody's Stylus's for size then sweet talk them Alec
Ken has a nice V8 that could do with stretching it's legs
Also I'm not sure whether passengers are allowed --- you never know
Last time you were in mine , it made some ' funny ' noises

Rob's just alerted me to this post, I would love to come, but i need to get the front end back together first, problem is I'm moving factory at the mo and I have a 3yr old, so spare time is a rare commodity! Will see what I can do.

Just give the '' big hammer '' to your 3yr old then when you get frustrated with it he can do the damage
--- that way it wont be your fault

stylussprinter wrote:OK Guys --- I'm just back after the weekend away and there's a nice little email from the organiser saying a stand for 10 cars is now booked
Woohay
Further more , it turns out he is a long term fan of the STYLUS
and they've always been on his '' I want one '' list.
Nice that two more have committed (Matt & Craig) ----------------------- but Craig , it's 19th of AUGUST not July mate
I will get tickets for , wait for it , a
PADDOCK
stand because he likes the cars and thinks we'll likely be going up the hill a lot
--- they will be sent to me about a month before so I'll have to post them out to you.
If more commit than 10 , I'll ask for more spaces if it's not too late
So far then it's -----
Me
Dave Huggett
Sevensport/Alex
Matt D
Ken V8 (Matt's unc)
Chris H -- hopefully
Kev & Liz
Norma
CMA Maybe
GLYN WEBSTER ---- just bought Jeff Bond's V8
Have asked him so
maybe
OK Guys -- this is the stand list so far
so on this basis , seeing as it's 6 weeks off the 19th August yet , I'll get in touch with the organisers again and ask for a 15 car stand . Even if you only park with us trying the hillclimb , it's better than leaving your 'beloved Stylus' far away in the car park
and I've contacted Tim B , hoping he's not committed elsewhere to help keep the Stylus marque interesting by him flying up the hill

OK guys ---- I have a definite price quote this morning including logo , supply , delivery and vat of 10 black caps at a total cost of £110-48p which is pretty close to my guess
So at least there's no doubt what you're in for , price wise now
£11-05p a
head
I'll post at cost to anyone who wants a cap and not intending being at the PRESCOTT meet --- otherwise you'll just pick yours up from me on the day ok
I've just paid up front for these so they should be in my hands by the end of this month

TWO hats duly booked for you 'ned' ----- not a problem cos I'll simply order more if more are wanted , it's just a timescale thing regarding Prescott for pick up . If others want caps after that date , I can still get them but just not picked up at that venue / have to be posted or picked up from me
Will you be on the stand with your Stylus then
