Angle is bonded onto the door top , after cutting off the f/glass 40mm piece pointing up from the door ------- look at the small gap created at the bottom edge then the angle got sprayed the car colour and I used thin flat alloy , painted mat black , to grip the outside of the sidescreen

Ah, cheers Rob it all makes sense now. I thought I was loosing the plot. Looks like it will have to stay as it is for a while as that will need some surgery to make happen.
