Rob
Was thinking about this over the weekend.
How about some sort of parallelogram hinge that lifts & tilts at the same time.
Could be very simple with 4 straight edges on both sides (ie still lightweight) & replace the triangular front frame.
Will send you a sketch of what I mean.
Matt

I'm off to Headley tomorrow for a family get together so that'll be fun in the Landcruiser , 70 odd miles via the country route and unknown snow/ice conditions
Then staying over to attend the ACSMC 2008 AGM & Championships presentations near Farnham , on Monday night . It won't be at Brooklands as I'd said , probably due to the ACSMC 's budget plus the Brooklands fees rising
It will be at Crondall golf club where FDMC has had it's dinner dances in the past
I'll be seeing the ' May ' motorsport team there. Maurice May with his two racing son's are very close to a guy who races a Darrion T90
so I might mention my predicament re- SSC and Duffey
Apparently they know him well and when I told them at my ' shunt ' who moulded SSC bodies they said -- '' Oh dear , let us know if you need some pressure '' Sooo -- I'll give it a go

Had to collect them myself at Rushmoor yesterday
Nice to have two though , it's 4 years since I won , albeit with one or two seconds inbetween. Chairman's FDMC award for runner up in their Championship wasn't there , so maybe they're saving money on that one
