They were in road going 1700cc and up to 2000cc . I'm in sports libre because I chose to not pay tax INS mot plus wanted to lower it more --- lights out etc etc . That means any car any engine size or tuning any Tyres , wings flat floor etc etc --- basically anything goes . I ran in road going for 6 yrs and won the championship once plus 4 yrs 2nd in the championship . If you don't move on or get out then other drivers get fed up .
Since then I've won three championships in sports libre without fitting many things I could do in the reg's ---- it's a buzz winning when you shouldn't against better stuff
I think Jeff's is around 220nhp and Mark's around 200bhp . Jeff's weighs 550kgs Mark's 600 ish same as mine . They are both chasing points and therefore competing every other week or so . In fact Jeff does two events some weekends . All helps tune the component that steers the car

Probably not interesting to anyone but me
but have been working out my average speed around Goodwood at last event's lap time of 96.26sec's standing start over the 2.4 mile circuit .
Works out at 89.76mph which doesn't sound very fast . There are 6 corners and a chicane though

Yes , all sprint timed runs are standing start even if you get further laps flying . Lydden and Goodwood do standing plus flying laps . You can knock off around 2 sec's if it's a flying lap.

I've been generally looking around the chassis etc today , checking bolts with tipex across them and came across a large plastic headed drawing pin , the sort used on notice boards ----- stuck in the outer 25mm's of the rear right tyre on the inside -- you'd never see it without taking the wheel off . It was worn down to the metal pin with just a little yellow plastic left on it . Obviously picked up around the paddock or pit area at Goodwood then a few times out on track . Only 3mm's sticking out
Amazing it didn't go flat on track
Not sure if it's repairable in that area , new tyre too
I replaced my halfshafts some years ago with two piece shafts ie. they bolt on with a single 36mm's nut ------- that was loose , not much , just a few mm's moved across the tipex . Lucky
I often jack it up then poke around with a torch looking for trouble . Was just intending to tidy up the rear arches that are looking a bit tardy now SO good job I did aye
