Well Goodwood is 2.4 miles long and after 5 runs yesterday it did 5litres = 10.8 mpg but that's in 4th and fifth a lot . Then you get your short circuits like Curborough , Eelmoor(1.5 gallons used over 1 mile circuit = 5 runs) , etc -- point and squirt 1 2 and 3rd gear max . It averages 8mpg checked by filling then measuring what goes in from my 5 litre can after each run plus I have a measuring bottle. I never fill from the jerry can , always fill the 5lt one then fill.
If it could be taken on the road and cruised at 100mph in 5th it would likely do 20 mpg .
Anyway it only ever did 12mpg when on the lower bhp and carb's --- remember my car only tracks
