well things seem to be going in the right direction now as regards getting car running in a good fashion.fuel problems sorted and suspension just about there i have orderd some new springs for the front shocks some 2.25 id by 8inch by275lbs.my biggest problem now is the live axle there is so much play in the diff im looking at having it refurbished. what i'd like to know is does anybody know of anybody with a bike engined car that has had the diff changed to suit the engine mine is the 1994 893cc fireblade and i'd like to know do i go for a quiffey and what is the ratio

Quiffey do you mean an ATB LSD Regarding the ratio , most Bike engined cars go for a much higher crown wheel and pinion . I've heard that 3.54 or even higher ratio is normal (maybe to do with the bike reduction gear integral with engine/box ) Most car engines in kits will be 3.89 or 4.1 for the road . I run 4.4 but 4.7/5.1/5.3 are available and handy for hillclimbs or very short sprints.

What rear springs are you using? 275 seem pretty firm for a bike engined car, I would have expected 220-240 front assuming 180-200 at the rear.

edit: just seen 225 on your other thread. If its more of a track car then that's about right, for a road car and potholed roads I'd go with a softer set up.
