RWYB at Prescott 19th Aug

I fancied doing this just for a day out and the chance to drive the hill . Shame not enough guys would be interested because you can apply for your own club stand if enough will definitely go then , if you want , pay on the day to drive the hill at £30 a go
I also have been posting on the Turbosport forum for some years , mainly FORD retro stuff with quite a lot of circuit racers. They have applied for their own stand of 12 cars or so and I'm hoping to be on that ---- if they let me mix it with retro stuff
If that doesn't work out and any of you also fancy it , perhaps I could ask for a CLUBSTYLUS stand BUT TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST . It's the 19th of August. I reckon we probably need around 6 cars minimum to be considered.
Any takers

Still not heard whether I am getting on the turbosport stand but are there any of you wanting to join me and possibly take a run up the hillclimb too
They only need to be roadgoing , taxed mot etc and your licence
Just to get in it's £7-50 online then the £20 in the morning or £30 for an afternoon run ---- no limit on runs either
Hanging around chatting and lots of cars to browse appeals too
It's on their website with all details . Anyone up for it

Sounds like a fun day, I'll bring the Stylus, I might even have had a chance to get it mapped fully by then and have a go at the hill.
Hopefully a few others will be up for it and a stand can be had.

That would be good but I've heard on the turbosport forum that the 1st July is the deadline --- not sure that's Prescott's deadline or theirs but hopefully if a few more commit as you have then I'll contact Prescott myself for our own stand

OK , so as of now it's Dave Huggett , Sevensport and me
Come on guys , we could do with 6 or 8 at least --- it'll be a brilliant day out whether you drive up the hill or nor . Google retro rides at PRESCOTT and you'll see what 2011 was like

Right
--- I decided to take a chance that more of you will want to come so have contacted RETRORIDES Prescott website directly asking for a stand for 10 cars
This is a complete ' punt ' as I have no clue really but didn't want to miss the chance of having our own stand
I'd love it to be 25 cars which is their max stand size numbers
My car will have to be scrutinised due to only having an MSA log book but all yours are entitled to have a run without overalls/helmet etc ----- surprising but that's what their website says

This seems too good an opportunity to miss to get a number of Stylus' together, is there a simple way one of the moderators could add a link or banner to the main page as Rob has gone to the effort of getting a stand? Or could the register that MattD put together be used as a mailing list?
Historically I've only read the build/rebuild and sales sections of this site and overlooked Events etc... and would have missed this post, I'm sure others do the same.

I will try to come to this. Hopefully the Stylus will be back together, but I've checked my calendar and I'm hardly at home in July so it doesn't look good!
Do they sell time on Demon Tweeks? I could do with some more!

I wish they did, I'm on month 13 of an engine conversion; two kids under 4 have first dibs on my spare time.

Hi Rob
On Hols in Cornwall, so limited time for web access.
Count me in for this, gives me a deadline to get my car properly sorted.
Will sort out the detail when I'm back next weekend.

OK Guys --- I'm just back after the weekend away and there's a nice little email from the organiser saying a stand for 10 cars is now booked
Woohay
Further more , it turns out he is a long term fan of the STYLUS
and they've always been on his '' I want one '' list.
Nice that two more have committed (Matt & Craig) ----------------------- but Craig , it's 19th of AUGUST not July mate
I will get tickets for , wait for it , a
PADDOCK
stand because he likes the cars and thinks we'll likely be going up the hill a lot
--- they will be sent to me about a month before so I'll have to post them out to you.
If more commit than 10 , I'll ask for more spaces if it's not too late
So far then it's -----
Me
Dave Huggett
Sevensport/Alex
Craig
Matt D
Ken V8 (Matt's unc)
Chris H -- hopefully
Kev & Liz
Norma
and I've contacted Tim B , hoping he's not committed elsewhere to help keep the Stylus marque interesting by him flying up the hill

Stuart Parley's name added to arrive for the day's fun BUT without chariot
more the merrier even without your car would still be good , there's a lot to see

I know, but at present I don't have a running car, so I need July to get things sorted! (and August, September, Oct.....)

Rob,
Great news on the Paddock stand, I take it the tickets supplied to you are to access the area and admission tickets still need to be bought either online or on the day?

Correct Alex , the club stand is a free privilege , apart from hill runs priced as above. Then entry to Prescott is the £7-50 online which I've just done --- there is a £1 charge on top for the ticket to be posted using the paypal address that they hold for you
So £8-50 all told
