I'm off down to Castle Combe with Stuart(my son) in his MG Trophy Saturday early morning for some passenger fun on track. His car will be on the MG stand so he'll get free track time . There will be a load of sports and Retro cars there taking people around the circuit for charity at £5 a lap , so I'll feed my adrenalin habit that way
His MG has been lowered and other little breathing mod's , to go along with it's 160bhp Trophy lump , all done by CHURCH Motorsport as their demo car while racing a higher spec MG Trophy themselves.

A good day out --- plenty of torrential rain on the way there and two very heavy showers during the afternoon BUT not while we were on track , so plenty of opportunity for Stuart to feel out Castle Coombe in the dry
I must say the track really appealed to me and was really in the Stylus mentally , as we were going around . There were some VERY quickly pedalled retro Fords out there absolutely blowing most things away , as was a well driven MGB V8 with all the right bits
Sadly also a couple of damaged cars that would need to find another way home other than on their wheels

Don't know about the '' expert '' bit but you were gaining confidence each lap and placed the MG better than some who were thrashing theirs down the straights . Ultimately speed is all about placement plus smooth input to steering and pedals ------ unless you're '' Tim '' of course who broke all the rules and was bloody quick
--- more a rally driver style with agressive input
