6 Point Race harness

After my failure at scrutineering last time at Goodwood , I scanned just about every source imaginable for a ' decent ' priced 3 inch strap 6 point , with aircraft quick release buckle . Finally got this one from MCGILL motorsport at £100 including eye bolts (he even threw in 2 extra long eye bolts , so I can mount the harness under the rollbar) This includes vat and post/packing
The straps are long enough to fit absolutely any car fitting so all I need to do is adjust then cut off the excess/singe etc.
FIA approved to 2017 too and club harnesses don't even need date approval
You can see what I got for the money.

Fitted now apart from the crotch strap because that'll mean cutting a hole through my seat and I'm not in the mood today
Once that's sorted there's the anchoring points for the eye bolts and there's only ally on the left side ie. tunnell area . The right side is steel gusseted all the way along , which will be stronger to take a threaded plate .
The cause of scrutineering failure was a rubbed patch on the harness as it passes through the seat top holes . For these even wider 3 inch straps , I've cut rubber fuel hose along it's length then pushed it over the edges so hopefully that will prevent a repeat of the damage
Then the side seat holes weren't large enough either to allow 3 inch straps through without rubbing so have made them bigger plus added the rubber hose --- job done

Very nice, which way does the lap belt pull for tightening?
With my Luke harness you have to pull upwards from the floor towards the middle, due to the location of the adjuster it gets stuck going through the seat and is a real pain in the ass to adjust, Caterham specific harnesses have the adjuster very close to the release and you pull down to tighten, much easier in a tight seat and confined space.

Lap and shoulder straps pull towards release buckle to tighten. Regarding the seat and holes --- I've simply cut them larger.

That is cheap, I just bought a FIA one on a special deal from Sepang track, bulk purchase made in Taiwan and it was 170 poound without the vat.
I like to fuel hose idea, I can source the correct sparco borders for the hole, from a local shop that does car interiors, two part one goes from each side and they clip together, but they are nearly 5 pound each so 25 pound a seat.

Yes , really pleased with the deal , I was assuming they were not FIA spec when quoted , so questioned it but was assured of their integrity. If you could winge on any tiny aspect at all then I'd say the metal adjuster buckes are quite heavy/gauge
BUT WHO'D WORRY AT THE PRICE
