Are there any generic outdoors covers that fit?

Post by dern »

As per the title really... are there any generic outdoor covers that you've found are a good fit (with a roll bar). I was thinking about measuring up mx-5s in the dead of night but if anyone knows if anything fits it would save be getting attacked by cross hair dressers ;)

Thanks,

Mark

I have a Carpoint Tybond size small cover that's a pretty good fit. It's not "breathable" but does have two decent sized vents in it and is actually waterproof. Was about £40 from eBay if I remember rightly. Does the job. Could probably use something fancier if you're precious about your paintwork.

Had one of the really cheapo ones previously which was rubbish - avoid them.

Remember to let the exhaust cool before sticking the cover on it and melting a hole in it - no, it wasn't me - I speak from a friend's experience!

No worries - weather permitting I'll take a photo some time this week if it helps - but the Stylus has gone down to the local garage for some tinkering and its MOT today 8)

If I were you I'd contact HAMILTON CLASSICS for a good outdoor breathable cover , giving him width/length/height of rollbar -- he'll pick one pretty close to what you need. He's a FDMC member too and competes at sprints/rallies. Also sponsered our sprint in the past plus rallying.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !
