Eelmoor will be my last event this year and have entered early online -- it's £80 which is by far the lowest sprint entry fee . I was beaten last year by a guy who I've been beating , since I started sprinting 14 yrs ago at Eelmoor --- he has a Metro 6R4 on slicks and just crept past me last year by 1/4 sec ish .
SO --- must try harder -- It did throw me a bit last year , as it was run back to front , starting where we used to finish etc

Ah -- that'll be good then , hopefully it'll be run clockwise this year too , I didn't like it in reverse last year. Really need to beat the 6R4 this time
Last year was the first time he'd beaten me in 13 yrs

Latest entries for my class Sports Libre.
My Stylus (54.8 last year)
6R4 (54.33 last year)
6R4 unknown
M3 unknown
MK1 Escort Cosworth (this guy did a 53 something last time he entered)
Never competed against the M3 or the Escort Cossy , I know the second 6R4 car but not the driver

There were no cards used on this event so need to see the published laptimes
BUT I managed to pull myself together having shot over the grass at the crossover to avoid taking out a few LARGE cones on my 2nd practice
Finally got the braking points right and deciding to keep it in 2nd on the limiter before turning left for the last crossover , rather than going up into 3rd for another 200 yards -----------------
Got me a 54.4 sec's which turned out to be my quickest time today Had another run but went slower -- cement covered oil slick for hundres of yards made my decision to drive at shopping speed
Need to see everybody's exact laptimes but with 5 in class I got 1st which was very satisfying , just not sure how well I beat them all. Also , if I'm right , I was 3rd overall with 80 entries
Just under 0.5 sec quicker than last year here
Nice dry and eventually warm day which certainly helped.

Forgot to say thanks to Mark , Marty for coming and my son Stuart for helping out plus Simon for sharing his eze-up with me
Nice to see Matt and others I've not seen since the early summer too. Mark's car got plenty of interest once his white rotary Stylus was parked up next to us in the paddock too
Our chairman , Simon Taylor , got him signed up to the FDMC after I badgered bulldozed him to that end
--- sorry Mark --
Gotcha `
Looking forward to seeing you in 2015 competing with us all Mark

These are the published times --- 2 practice then 3 competition runs Mine above was what I thought Stuart said
Stylus 2lt 57.02 secs 61.69 secs 4 whhels off
54.57 secs 58.18 secs after oil spill
1st
Escort Cossy 2lt 60.21 secs 57.34 secs 60.29 secs
3rd
6R4 2.8lt 62.67 secs 58.9 secs 58.93 secs
2nd
6R4 3.5lt 68.7 secs 62.53 secs 84.95 secs
5th
M3
lt 64.71 secs 60.72 secs 62.06 secs 60.36 secs 61.18 secs
4th
It was the 6R4 2.8lt that beat me last year ---- and I'd beat him for 12 yrs till then. I was surprised the 6R4 3.5lt wasn't quick and had thought the Escort Cossy would beat me . Only the M3 did 3 competition runs , the rest of us didn't go out for the lot once the oil was down ---- well I did just one run to check it out but saw no point in the possibility of ending up in the trees so left it at that
My friend Simon Boulter took FTD in his FURY Hyabusa 1300 modified weighing just 450kgs/slicks at 51.87 secs and had never been to Eelmoor before
Put his marker down

With the result at Eelmoor , I now have enough points to make me ACSMC Sports Libre Champion for the 2014 season --- really nice after being off the pace at my last Goodwood event . So 5 times since 2005 plus 1 in Roadgoing spec 10 yrs ago
Soon over this winter , I'll be getting a faulty component in my 'throttle' leg sorted , the clutch leg sorted 14 yrs ago (BHR re-surfacing) , so possibly not out in competition very early in 2015 , we'll see , roll on the Spring
