BAE Systems, Saturday
7th overall. Should have been 4th really, but I wrong tested on the last run. Got a blinding time but missed a gate - drove right next to it not through it!!

Still, an ace day with only a few hundredths separating a few of us. Only one minor panic when what looked like smoke started pouring from the nearside front wheelarch. Stopped immediately and could smell it was actually coolant - a connection on the rad top hose where it joins the head was weeping. Tightened it up and there were no further issues.

Isle Of Wight College, Sunday
6th Overall, though not far off a couple of places higher. I always lack bravery at this venue as there are kerbs everywhere but by this time the Stylus was behaving well. The carb troubles seem to have cleared up after a clean out and a good thrashing.

Pretty happy overall. There's been some really strong competition this year. I reckon the Stylus has an event win in it; just have to get the driver to the same place

One more event on the calendar, but I think I'll give it a miss as it's a tyre-eater and my Federals have worn really well all year so I don't want to destroy them for one event that's unlikely to change my place on the leaderboard.
Roll on the winter's tweaking - need to sort a new fuel tank, would like some GRP seats to get lower in the car and raise that rev limiter.
