Brake pads?

Post by Shooter63 »

I've been poking around the car today ( adjusting the ride height etc) and took a look at the front brake pads, the car is fitted with wilwood calipers, dynalites I think by the pad size. The pads fitted are poly matrix of some sort, I can't quite make out the total part number, I wondered if there is a more suitable pad for this type of car?

There most certainly is . Hawk Black or Hawk DTC30 , the DTC30 having slightly better modulation but both are fantastic. If you can't get them then EBC Yellow are very good , I run them on my Alfa. EBC of a decade ago were all rubbish but these newly developed Yellows are really VERY good . You'll be stunned by the difference in performance of any of the three mentioned -- all work from cold too.
Cambridge Motorsport for the Hawk and EBC advertise directly from many sources. I used to run Dynalite calipers with Hawk Black and they felt like servo brakes after standard pads.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !
