Rops for road going kits cars

Post by Shooter63 »

On my last post I asked if I needed a certain type of helmet to compete in sprinting, one of the answers included that as of next year open topped cars would also need a full cage. I've emailed the MSA, the reply states that road going classes will only need a rear bar with back stays and possibly a diagonal ( FIA rear type ?) this is for the ' road going specialist production ' class which I presume is where a stylus fits?

You'd be in class 7 if under 1800 or class 8 if over that. Specialist production is anorher class from memory. I'm in Specialist production modified which is class B10 being 2lt . Other years I've been in Sports Libre -- basically anything goes. This is in the ACSMC regs , other groups run their own rules sometimes.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !
