Hi all
Can anybody tell me what the maximum rear wheel back space I can run on a solid axle stylus, I think the 1st thing to make contact will be the damper springs, I have 1.9" springs

Re: Rear wheel back space
Not enough info , it depends on your wheel size and tyre size . I could give you mine but it wouldn't help as they are 13x7.5 wheels with 215x55 tyres . Drop a string down from the centre of the arch with a small weight then measure in towards the hub bolting face . That's the max outer , so you can then work out the max inner .
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Surely back space is a static measurement ? As it's the measurement from the hub face back towards the car, if you tell me what you have with your 7.5 x 13 wheels I can work it out , I'll be running 215x55-13 ZZS

Re: Rear wheel back space
True but I didn't know you were running the same size tyres as me . Tyres bulge out beyond rims depending on size , hence my comment .
However as your wheel and tyre size are the same as mine , I can tell you the tyres will not foul the shock/1.9 coil spring .

Ok, so with this in mind, on a 7.5" rim what back space did you get ( force wheels I believe )

Re: Rear wheel back space
OK , just had a look and from the drum brake bolting face to the bolthead connecting the rear link , it's exactly 152.4mm's(same to the 1.9 in coil spring) . My 13x7.5 Force racing wheels have a backspace of 120mm's which includes it's tyre bulge. The tyres are 215x55 . So 32.4mm's clearance to inner wing . My shocks are 1.9 x 15 inch fitted with an 8 inch 250lbs spring . Chassis height rear set to 100mm's without driver(80kgs)
I've given you this , as the inner body/wing slants in a little , so tyre width/profile/ride height/spring weight affects the clearance.
