does anybody know what the lock / door catch mechnaism originally came off ? about to set off on my 1st drive of 2020
today and found that the drivers door lock had failed - wouldn't close and no movement at all when interior handle pulled
went over to the passenger door - opened it to look at it & see what moved / happpened when I pulled the exterior catch - this
also failed - no movement at all and door wont shut.

stripped them both out and there is no movenment at all of any part on either lock when the handle is pulled- so looks like I may need two new lock mechanisms.

I think they are all builder sorced. So could be any make.
Perhaps if you took a photo someone may recognise them.

Mine were advised in the handbook when buying the kit , as METRO and dirt cheap .

I had a feeling they were either classic mini or metro - only ones on Ebay are dead scabby looking and £10 each plus postage
or new old stock available from Rimmer Bros @ £90 each ! - no longer dirt cheap
