Don't even have a windscreen yet.

Try Ricky Evans Motorsport, 01827283688. I saw them at the Autosport show in Jan and they list a heated windscreen for the Lotus Elan S3 (part no 9113AGNH). I don't know prices but they seem pretty good.

Hi Adrian,

I checked the build manual and it says Elan S3 but I'll try and check it with Tim at Stoneleigh if I remember!

Cheers

hello! I'm a new member to this site although i've been building a stylus rt for 2 years. The windscreen is from an s3. As to whether the heated ones are any good, please let me know as i intend to use one.

I've been in touch with Ricky Evans - very helpful. The screens demist in around 20 seconds and have almost invisible wires, like a Caterham screen. It is simply connected up through a fused relay and switch. They cost £155 + VAT with a £40 uk delivery charge. If there is interest in a bulk buy and we take the 6 he has in stock, he'll give a 10% discount. (I'm having one so 5 to go). They are situated in the Midlands and it would be good to save the carriage. Is anyone else interested? Their web site is http://www.heatedwindscreen.com

I am up for one and will be down in the midlands in about 6 weeks time to pick up new company van so will pick one up then. He also does a small trim piece to go around the screen also for a couple of quid to finish it of.

Cheers George :D

Hello George ,
The trim to do the job well is Ford Transit and you need two. Others have been tried and the result not good. Think it actually says in the manual.

Rob.

Rick can't remember if they are clear or tinted - hopefully he will confirm. My 2.3 duratec engine arrived yesterday. Forged pistons and rods are half the price in the States. Anyone know if you have to pay VAT or duty on arrival to the UK please?
