Are the vents on the side of the classic done to a pattern or are they done to the owners own style as I am about to start the body work stage

If you go through the "members and their cars " page you'll see that several cars have different vents. So if you don't like the 3 slanted vents, just figure something else out.
Best thing maybe is to cut your design out of vinyl sticker sheet and try it on before you start drilling and cutting.
If you have a digicam, maybe put a picture here so other can give their thought about it or maybe tricks to refine.

The cut outs are up to each builders preferance. Im not sure if they are required or used just for looks.
You do have to fit a mesh behind to stop someone putting their fingers in whilst your driving and the edge must have the 2.5mm radius (SVA requirments), so may be better to do after SVA.
The mesh I used was from a Holts body filler pack, about A4 (12"x8") and mastic on from inside the engine bay.
Draw your cut outs on card to make & template so both sides are the same. Like all kitcars when you measure each side they seem to be different so its just a matter of what looks best.
