I've not had a chance to go out and take photos as it hasn't been running well the past couple of days, but that's for a different thread.

The first two shots are on my driveway and the rest are from the online ad I found it on!

Looks good, was the drive home fun with no major hicups :?: that looks like it will survive a track day no problem.

The drive home was fine thanks, although I did learn not to use my washers with the roof off :)

Since then though my battery stopped charging.
With my dads help we hooked up an ammeter to find that the alternator wasn't charging. So we took the one off our old fiesta but it is slightly shorter so the leads wouldn't reach. After trying a bit too hard we (well, I) pulled the lead from it's plug. So I have to wait a few days to get to a scrap yard for Lucas type alternator plug and as much alternator lead as i can pull from a scrap car!
I could just buy the parts but it's more fun that way!

Also the engine has become a little lumpy, struggling if the accelerator is pressed hard. This could be a fuels supply problem but I'm hoping it's to do with the lack of charge to the battery!

Things to do:
Sort the alternator - new plug and longer leads

New tires - it currently has remoulds on all four wheels

Change the dash - It's from the donor so has only fuel, engine/water temp and speed (which is incorrect)

Cooling - it's fine when moving but once stationary that little 1300 xflow gets very hot very quickly. The fan also stays on for an age after stopping the engine as the temp sensor is on the engine block rather than having a thermostat on the radiator itself.

The hood is blummin tight - can't seem to put it on properly with the support bars in the right place.

New seats - the current ones are come but a little high and with no side support. I can't see the dash behind the wheel and the top of the screen is in my field of vision, which means either slumping or looking over it to see properly

Other than that though it's bloody good fun! :D

It's been too wet to have a good looks but the engine bay looks clean and the read suspension, while soft doesnt look to have bent the arms mentioned in your warning thread!
That's another thing that I might have to change, the springs. I'm a fat bugger (>105kg) and the car seems to sit too low when I get in!
