Self destruction at Llandow

Post by Cerberus »

For those of you that didn't see my engine part company with some of its internals heres a few photos, basically number one piston had a row with the other three and decided to leave with no regard what so ever for the block the track or my feelings and as such will not be allowed to take part in any other event ever i will not tolerate such behaviour from my parts

Suprisingly the valves are OK as you can see in the second photo the piston hit the head bloody hard so its just a new bottom end.

Phil , the observing marshal said you were losing oil from the ' bus stop ' (by the tower) so probably you'd punctured the sump long before pulling off at the end of the next straight. So she was virtually running dry for half a lap
Did you clobber the sump on a curb well before the straight maybe :?: :?: :?: Personally , if you're intending putting an all singing/dancing engine in over the winter , I wouldn't throw any more cash at it . You have to ask yourself '' what else isn't quite right :?: ''. First loss is best loss mate

Sorry you had a grot day  Rob.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !
