How did you go about trimming the edge of the opening in the GRP sill ?
I've glued reflective mat on the inside of the sill & have the edges showing.
Was considering metalised tape rolled over the edge, but it looks crap.
Can you get metalised versions of the edging strip (that won't melt) ?
What's the noise regs for road & circuit use ?
It's nice & mellow at low 90s idle, but touching 100+ Db at around 5K revs.
So its a kitten that bites !
How has yours got on with heat in the engine bay. I've lined the top of the wing above the manifold & wrapped the exhaust,
bit its still hot to touch if you leave it to idle. Any suggestions ?
Cheers
Matt

Re: Side Exhaust
[ I don't have a problem with engine bay heat but it doesn't get road use . I don't think it would be a problem even at long mileage though as long as it wasn't standing/crawling traffic. Having looked at your photo , I'd say you haven't taken enough f/glass out around the silencer . It needs more airflow into the engine/manifold and out past the silencer easily.
Decibels , well road is 101 for sva , trackdays are usually 98 but most events are 105max unless you go to Gurston then it's 108.
I didn't trim the edges at all , simply rubbed down well and then hand painted it with a very tiny brush. I've still got a pint of the red that Middleton motors sprayed it with , very handy this last 3 years !
