Can I thank Tim through this forum for his hospitality last Saturday (13th May).

As I was in Wales I asked if I could pop in. Tim gave me a good few hours on his day off to show me the RT & a current build he was undertaking at the workshop.

My Stylus is a '98 model and not yet on road. Tim has continually developed & improved many aspects of the car and particularly the build method, Im sure if I'd bought my kit now it would be on the road in half the time with a superior build to boot. I would love to have the RT version (I know mine can be converted but Id just like to drive it 1st), and think the styling has given the car a good standing in the market.

Thanks Rob for the headlight cover coment. I discused this with Tim & had a close look at the RT's. I was worrying over nothing and got carried away with tunnel vision and forgot the hole picture. Spraying the area behind the perspex cover black (not the lamp's or lenses) makes the purspex look smoked. Looks great on the RT but I think may be to jazy for the Classic.

Cant wait for the bank holiday weekend to get mine out of the garage & add the finishing touches. Oh - we'r going to Exeter & have some DIY to do. Well there is still the August bank holiday.

Thanks again Tim

Kevin

Hello Kevin,
Can't remember whether I posted this before but here's a pic' of my classic Stylus with quad's just completed . I used Tim's old tinted covers(they were scratched/not tidy enough for the show he was at) Having made some alloy brackets and glassed them in, to bolt the frames to , I then painted the frames with blackboard black two coats. Unless you look at them kneeling down all that is visible are the lamps.
So she's all ready for Goodwood test day on the 6th June now , my first outing in 2006 !Image
