New headlight cover glass and New side screens

Post by Antnicuk »

Passenger side headlight cover or new style replacement headlights if there is such a thing.

Also, where can i get new side screens or is it easier to make them myself?

Can anyone source parts like the carbon dash etc or has SSC gone now?

Make your own sidescreens, mine cost about £20 for the plastic, I just need to be bothered to make up the mounting brackets: they are basically 1inch "L" alloy same length as the top of the door with flat 1inch alloy strip to sandwich the window in place.

carbon dash, try this guy on locost builders: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthr ... ?tid=73445

i have the old screens so would be easy to copy. There seems to be some kind of lip on the top of the door with little threaded rivet type things already, they fit in the holes in the plastic and almost protrude through the plastic, i assume that i can either get a strip of ali with matching holes and bolt it on sandwiching the plastic or just use larged headed bolts. Theres about 4 or 5 bolts needed so not a 2 second job to remove but nothing to major i suppose and better than getting wet..

the fibreglass lip on the door is normally removed and replaced with the alloy "L" bracket as this can be adjusted to form an accurate fit when using a hood- if you don't have a hood it doesnt matter.

not sure on the light replacement parts, but depending on your glassing skills you could fit something like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-307-MORET ... dZViewItem

or headlights from an elise S2

I've got VW Lupo headlights as they give great illumination and suit the shape of the car.
