Which Ball joints?

I have finally sold the RX7 and have my garage back so work can commence. I removed the front stubs to fit the new hubs and bearings, I noticed the lower ball joints are a little worn. They have a big threaded bit that goes into the lower wishbone. I am using escort front stubs.

Can anyone tell me which ball joints i need and where to get the from?

many thanks

On our clubstylus website under build->part numbers you can find all the needed.

Bottom swivel
(Front suspension) QR 1774RHT Quinton Hazel product, originally sherpavan track rod end right hand thread!

But are the balls joints worn or only the rubbers? I just replaced the rubbers on mine as they were bust, but nothing wrong with the ball joint.

well they are still a little stiff, the rubbers are split though, i assume if its warn it would be 'floppy'. How else can i tell if they are warn?, also, where can i get just the rubbers?

I have just bought my donor engine, £70 for a complete block. :P It needs a rebuild, that will cost about £300 in new parts, i will then need an oil cooler, a starter motor and the most expensive bit is a stand alone ecu. I think i am going to go with a stock turbo initially as i need to keep costs down but that will still make about 270 - 300 flHP. It will also be the smallest package.

I just bought 4 as mine are very worn £10-27 each.

I got these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRACK-ROD-END-BAL ... 0171056876

but think these are the same http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-Larger-Track-R ... 0171584029

If you're ball joint isn't rusty/stuck or sloppy then it's not worn. And it is very common for the stylus to bust the rubbers when you have the straight bottom A-arms as the rubber gets pinched between the arm and the strut. Later models have bent bottom a-arms to avoid this.

thats very helpful, they dont seem to be warn in that case, just the rubbers as you say. I have order a bag of 10, i'm sure i can make them fit.
