Goodwood sprint result

There were no late entries so I was in class 9 on my ' jack '
However , my previous best single standing start lap was in 2005 and was 101 sec's . Today they put me behind a Caterham which I caught before the second corner so had to follow him round to the finish about a cars length off.(not allowed to pass on sprints
) That still got me 101 sec's .After 3 further runs , putting me behind single seaters , I managed 96.04 , 96.7 then finally 95.5 sec's
So a 3 year gap BUT with 30bhp more grunt got me 6 sec's off
NOW I just need to know what flying lap I can do with the new engine
Still awarded me the 1st in class though which was nice
Thanks for support from Andy B. and Stuart P. plus my son Stuart pitting for me and taking camcorder snips

Just goes to show it was worth all the blood sweat and tears, And also the good photo diary of the work happening.

Yes , I'm only now realising just how good this engine is , partly because only now am I using all the top end rev' range . Over 100mph it pulls like 3rd in 5th
Brakes are getting more work too

Just read through the complete 12 classes results of 84 entries and it shows 2 of the single seaters were faster than me plus 6 others from all other classes , making me 9th overall
. There must have been 30 odd Caterhams of various capacities/bhp , a few on slicks
I'm gonna show off me medals for Rushmoor & Goodwood

Many thanks
it certainly motivates me more than ' work ' does
Once you've made your mind up to retire the following year then work becomes a drag

Really? It gets more of a drag than it is already? Oh man...
