Me and the old man have taken this week off to get loads done on the stylus! Just some pics so far.....
Shocks are now in place, awaiting Robs roll bar to be fitted on the front. Doors are now fibreglassed in place.

nope, did them on the car and stuck them with sikaflex, then took them off to bond them together with fibreglass

It's starting to be a complete car now --- you'll be wanting to finish it now it's at this stage

I used to go out into my shed after tea and , on occasions , work there on the Stylus till 1 or 2 in the morning . Couldn't do it again now though , you need to be very enhusiastic to maintain that work pace
Even so it still took me 2 years from chassis to on the road
I kept an honest diary of costs plus time . The time was 1000 hours and including a Minno trailer the cost was £16,000
I thought I'd build it for £8000
Spent more developing it while I was more serious competing every year around 15 events a season. I could build the spec' I've got now for thousands less
When you've got somebody always just doing enough to prevent you winning rather than coming second , it drives you harder to improve the car and your driving ability level , so no regrets

made up some brackets for the bonnet centre catch and the pull cable and got them temporaily in place!
Bonded in the front indicator pods.
Thats been it for today!

One small thing, where the original bonnet guttering runs around under the windscreen it will now just let the water run straight into the engine bay when it rains. We carried the guttering on down the sides of the body too to run it out the sides of the car, and put a lip around the sides of the bonnet. The drivers side fill run straight on top of the footwell cover. More work, but the flip front bonnet design never looked very good to me, and putting the lip down the sides of the bonnet also stops it flexing so much too.

we did notice that and thought it was quiet poor! Would it be possible to take some photos of what you have done to give us a starting point?
Thanks
