I popped into a small car show today where Dax had a busa engined rush on display. The main man from Dax was also there (cant remember his name) he is the guy who designed their camber compensation front suspension. Looks quite technical but from what he was showing me it looks like it works well. They reckon they took 1.6 seconds off the lap of Snetterton in a V8 powered rush.
I was asking him about the live axle and the dedion and why my car was lifting the front inside wheel, he said it was a trate with powerful live axle cars, he suggested fitting a rear anti roll bar, which i was suprised at, i didnt think that you would put an ARB on a live axle as the axle its self acted as an ARB. He also explained why the DeDion is better than the live axle as the diff isnt part of the axle and so doesnt try and twist the axle.
Does anyone know of any live axle cars using an ARB.How does the Stylus DeDion compare to the live axle?

Tim put an ARB front and rear on the demo car also the RT very early on to experiment. Tim's a very competant driver. He removed the rear ARB --nuff ' said. Regarding a dedion set up , personally I can't see the advantage having driven one . If you're gonna try it then it needs to be very light or you will lose any perceived advantage . For track work an independant will be hard pushed to beat a live axle , all things being equal . Road would be another matter then there's the extra burden of more set-up work plus variations. Lifting a wheel can be dialed out to a degree with spring rates and front ARB . Mine lifts a touch under extreme provocation but as long as the one that's on the tarmac is giving enough grip so's not to get understeer ----who cares
