Seat mountings

Afternoon all,
Has anyone got any photos of their seat mounts? I'm using some Elise S1 seats but I haven't got the mountings sorted yet. When bolting to the seat pan in the car I take it you don't really want to bolt through the ally floorpan? Do you reinforce the steel base in the area around the mountings?
Cheers
Pete

I simply used 50 mm washers under the steel part and the alloy floor pan . If the seat body rocks due to the 25 mm tube that crosses underneath just cut the appropriate lengths of alloy tube to slip over the exposed 4 seat bolts . In my case the seat has large rivnuts moulded into the seat so I played around with various thicknesses of wooden blocks before deciding what length tube to cut. Behind the seat back , I sikaflexed a block onto the seat to stop it moving backwards (just level with the upper chassis boot cross tube)
This all passed sva without issue .

as long as you have a spreader plate under the car you will be ok. I use 2 strips of flat steel 12 inches long with a hole at each end the same width as the seat. Using 2 for each seat. I also use 2 peces of 25mm tub the same way on the inside to raise the seat over the tube accross the floor pan.

The tube that goes accross the floor pan where the ali joins the steel seat tub is a pain. I think i am going to slot my seats when i put them back i can get them an inch lower which will help miss the roll cage
