Thats a stunning looking car, i'd lik to know how he got 17 inch wheels and the min head;ights all under the front wings! I wonder what he removed to reduce it by 30kg's when he added bigger wheels and a full interior etc.

Hi there,

Cheers for the compliment on the car, and cheers for spotting my typo...it should say 20gs lighter.
That was actually achieved very easily as from build the car had a rather bizarre plumbing system which consisted of several lengths of large bore copper tubing running the length of the sills as a 2nd rad, it looked like something out of Captain Nemo's Nautilus, because it was running too hot. I had several people look at it and one cooked head later it turned out the fans had been wired wrong! Just ripping all that out, and losing the water weight also, was a big step. Also I actually saved a fair bit on the interior rebuild as the original builder had used a substanial amount of MDF in the car, and it ain't light! After a lot of money, and a lot of grief from one particular "specialist", NOT anything to do with SSC I want to point out, which resulted in a court case that I won, and then work to rectify the mistakes, the car is now very near to the "ultimate" spec I wanted originally, but I'm now abroad and the car isn't so it's up for sale. I'd like to thank Rob for his help at times, and also Tim, who, although I've had my disagreements with in the past, is basically a decent guy and I wish him all the best.
