The car seems very hard and jumpy at the rear, I've dropped the psi in the rear tyres from 30 dowwn to 20, but will probably take it down to around 16psi which I think should be closer.

Next is the damping setting on the shocks, is it best to soften it right up, or will I end up with a bouncy car?

And am I best to get the car as low as poss on the shock whilst not grounding out?

Was a bit gutted on Sunday, took a mate out who has a newish 2ltr Duratec Caterham, the power of both was not dissimilar, but his car just glidded over the bumpy whilst mine crashed through them ......

Can't have it all ways --- Caterham have spent a fortune developing their car over many many years so that numpty's can drive them without thought or learning anything about set up
Don't know what tyres you have but no car weighing 600kgs or less needs 30psi . Yoko's go well at 16 psi Toyo's like another pound , unless you're a big lump
Whatever shocks you've got regardless of make , start by setting the front at 1/3 rd of total clicks from ' nothing ' upwards . Start the rear at 2/3 rds . If you don't like the way it handles , drop 2 clicks front and rear --- test ----- 2 clicks down again untill you prefer it then back up 1 click at a time to perfection. What have you set the wedge to ?

Backs were 30psi 'cos I didn't check them when I had the tyres put on - dooh!

Don't be too upset regarding the Caterham performance , the Duratec's a bloody good engine so 200bhp in probably 500kgs plus , it's gonna be quick plus they're very easy to drive quickly . I had a Caterham auto test drive as part of a present , never having even sat in one and after we'd all (20 guys ) enjoyed ourselves in the car the tutor said lets have a top three run off ==== yes , won it

Did you read the PM I sent re -- your ARB fitment

Didn't get a chance to work on the car, but I did measure the ARB. I need it two inches longer to clear each side of the engine, and if you could send me replacement end arms as well so I can weld them on that would be great - I can drill the holes myself if necessary.

Well, set the tyres pressures to 17psi, set the dampers to about right, lower the car down and bit, fitted the adapted ARB, tightened up the diff mounting which had started to loosen and bang around, and sorted the speedo which had stopped working, and the car is like a different beasty completely, smooth comfortable ride, and goes round corners on rails.

Now to get the engine mapping done for some proper boost
