Yep!

me and the girlfriend are interested. we'd like another day out this month before she gets posted to birmingham. what do i need to know rob? where and when do we have to be there? do we have to do both days? that would be a shame!

You can do one day or both Alec , they'll be very greatful :) Contact Farnborough2@aol.com and tell Dave Pennycate/chief marshal that you are petrol head friends of mine -- ha ha  He'll send you instructions/time to arrive etc . You'll love it , front seat view

I wont be competing , I've no tow bar yet on the new Cruiser anyway and it's too late for an entry. If another commitment falls off then I'll be marshalling

Sorry not to see you at the Sprint Alec . I signed on for marshalling at 7-50am then went around chatting to all the guys I used to compete with in the pits . At 9-00am we were at our post on the flat out bend before the finish line on the Abingdon course . I came back to the pits at lunch time and phoned/text you ---- too late I spose :( Nice bits of kit to look over though aye

Today I guess you'll be rally marshalling ---- you'll love that , all those M2 Escorts sideways everywhere :P Thanks for offering to marshall , maybe you should join the club --- FDMC :?: See you at Goodwood on the 27th June :) Andy Bailey will be there and my son Stuart , to remind me to take it gently on the first practice --- h'mmm  We'll see
Matt Downes ' might ' be there :) ------although he's got plenty to do at home right now though so perhaps not  :)

It would be a great day out driving for Stylus's if any of you fancied spectating for now't :?:

hi rob! and everyone else!

sorry we missed you on saturday but we went early to brize norton's familys day! we have just had an awesome day of marshalling although it was spoilt a little by the first stage accident that you may have seen on the news involving a car, some marshalls, a photographer and 2 air ambulances. we halted at half 9 for an hour and a half whiile the casualties at the finish line were treated. all ok though i've heard so thats good.

oh yeah and the other thing that spoilt my day was driving all the way home and enjoying a lovely drive in the RT but when i got back to my house, accidentally selected 1st instead of reverse and drove into my neighbours car. his car is fine but i've smashed my lens cover! oh bugger! can i get a new one of those or are they in short supply?

looking forward to seeing you at goodwood. will not be in the stylus though i don't think as it needs a couple of things attending to! if its fixed we'll go in it!

As I said , Tim delivered me a batch but one ''pair'' are not a pair , they're non tinted both passenger side lenses ----- which side's cracked Alec :?: :?:

Regarding the rally incident , 2 people are apparently 'critical' and another is more 'serious' still but this is from a contact NOT the hospital so hopefully they will get through. It involved a rally car not getting round the corner then ploughing through the finish line crew :(

thats good to hear then! hopefully it won't cause any problems for future events at abingdon as it is a good event.

as for light covers, its the drivers one for me that is cracked. i may have found an answer though. i have found someone who is a friend of a friend who does vacuum forming of plastics for a living if you go to the lens covers topic, i'll explain more!
