IVA engine dates
Is the cat requirement for the IVA similar to the SVA? Looking through the IVA manual it seems that as long as I have an engine made in 1992 it does not need a CAT, is this still the case?

I believe so. I just put mine throgh the IVA - without a cat & all was fine. As Iv mentioned before, my local sva/iva place is Southampton. They are total *****. I mean they are thorough. So it must be fine.
