Hood frame

Post by Sook »

My car doesn't have a hood frame, probably due to the proximity of the roll bar to the edge of the cockpit. Although the hood has been altered to take this into account, the lack of support around the top corners of the doors means that there's a good 3 inch gap between the top of the window and the hood. This means I tend to get a bit damp in the rain!

Seeing as I'm unlikely to be able to get a new Stylus frame, I was wondering if the Fury one would fit. Has anyone done this?

The Fury is narrower than the Stylus by 50mm's and the cockpit a different shape/size. Just make up two bends for each side then join them with a narrow gauge pipe . Use 10mm copper to rig up the shape when your hood is up and fettle from there
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Thanks Rob, you are the fount of all knowledge as always! Looks like I've got a bit of work to do before I splash out on a new hood!
