Re: Mike Burke's old car...

Re: Mike Burke's old car...
i own certain sylva cars, and importet all the cars my mates are driving. so i know the UK prices well. this car might have been built with a high spec., but those cars do not fetch such money. and talking about a car in the upper price-range the paperwork should be spot -on, which it isnt. due to l...

Re: Mike Burke's old car...
did i say i´m interested in this red, overpriced car with incorrect paperwork?
did i open this thread?
no, to both questions.
and if you dont like to be in the EU...please vote against it at the next elections. anyway, such a forum shouldnt be used for talking about politics.

Re: Mike Burke's old car...
every car leaving the UK , getting exported to another Eu memberstate, needs a inspection b4 registration. this inspection is more or less a much stricter MOT test and varies from state to state. germany: if the car has a reg.-date of 1974 (so the reg.date is older than 30y) than the MOT tester may ...

Re: Hello from Germany
as the homologation process in germany is done by TÜV (west germany) and DEKRA (east germany) , it seems that those 2 institiutons have 2 different ways in doing their jobs. i know what you mean, but this is only valid for production cars which have passed a harmonoized approval procedure accepted f...

Re: Hello from Germany
sorry to hear about the accident.....
ok..is it worth a reubuilt? considering the UK sales prices: NO
buy another one in UK, modify it to your demands and use the exsiting registration (Fahrzeugbrief / Zulassungsbescheinigung) for your "new" puchase.

i´m not rude...i kindly ask you to avoid such utterances. i know how the german kitcar-scene is ticking...e.g.. track days are not that common here in germany as in UK...and if somebody is using a kitcar in germany for trackdays its to 99% a caterham, a german seven brand or lotus elise. and i´m not...

Re: Ebay unfinished Stylus
you got me wrong, i think:
as john was saying "It has gone to an enthusiast in Germany"
i only wanted to tell my doubts about the word "enthusiast"
anyway...as john got the money he wanted...who cares to whom the car was sold....

Re: Ebay unfinished Stylus
"Don't know but you're only in iterested in it to inport & make money " not really..as the car as it is (without registration and fitted with this modern engine) makes no sense to import, because it cannot be homologated anywhere without a former british-registration. with a x/flow eng...

Re: Ebay unfinished Stylus
a q-plate isnt a general problem outside UK..as long as it fullfills the local registration laws. besides UK, in other euopean countries the emission classification is determined by the reg-date and not (as in UK) by the engine-age. means: all reg-dates, from 1992 onwards, imported from somewhere, n...
