Motor sport events on public roads - government consultation

This has been in the works for a few years now, but in case you haven't seen it at last there is a government consultation on the proposal to give Local Authorities the power to close roads and suspend the Road Traffic Act for organised motor sport events – something which currently requires a lengthy and costly Act of Parliament.

Send in your support for the proposals if you think its the right thing to do. Personally, I think it would be an excellent decision for all involved to give local people the opportunity.
