Maybe I should buy that part built RT in the For Sale section then - at least it has most of the bits present!

TBH, it's a opportunity that doesn't come along very often. And as Tim seems to be gone up in smoke, it could take a long time to get a new one.

Seems such a shame as he was determined to keep it going  when it could have been sold to someone who really wanted to keep it going and given everyone the ability to to buy the parts they need to finish builds and start them.

Yeah I know, unfortunately I'd need to sell my Westfield first to create the garage space, and that's not likely to happen this year :?
It looks ideal for what I would want, just not the right timing for me :|

Deep down you must have known he wasn't interested just from the way he has treated most of us,(i know he has had a lot of problems) i can't see how he can come back from this owing people money/parts, who now, in their right mind, would send him money for bits? i know i damn well wouldn't.
It really is a shame but he has only got his self to blame

I have just got back from another trip to Wales.

I ,once again, found Tim. I also found my brothers car thank God.

The bloody thing is all but finished ,and once Tim sorts himself out can go to retest.

I wish our kid had never sen the thing ,never mind buy one .I am open minded enough to let a good blast in it try to change my mind however .

Tim won his court case last Thursday .it was eating up all his time and effort .he wont mind me saying that he had to win or it was curtains for him financially.

I cant see him managing to start out again with the business .I dont even thing he is trying to persuade anyone ,including himself ,that he does .I know that leaves everyone wondering where to get bits from.A bad position all round I think .

Lastly Rob I tried to persuade him to ring you .let me know if he does.

Best of luck to everyone .

If I ever get the car I will let you all know.thankfully I am a naturally optimistic person so I do expect to .Malcolm

When SSC was sold to Tim , there was an AC car(all steel ugly damn thing)that was promised to be completed by P.Powell. However , the parts were not available so the owner had been informed of this and asked to collect it --- it being an impossible task. On enquiring what was to be done with this AC when Tim bought SSC , he was told '' it's not a problem , just tell him to collect''

BUT ---- apparently the owner of said AC had insisted that it be completed , refering Tim to a ' contract ' :o  So ever since taking over SSC Tim's had solicitors letters flying around like bloody confetti .
In the end Tim was referred to a ' good ' barrister who thought said AC owner had no case HOWEVER if it went wrong Tim would need to find £25,000 plus
So that bit of his life's now sorted -- :D

I remember seeing that car when collecting my kit, it needed a shed load of work done to it and it was ugly. Glad that is over for him :)
