Scuttle Panel and Inner Sill

Post by Pete&Matt »

Does anyone have a clue as to where the parts bellow, marked Scuttle Panel and Inner Sill are supposed to be??
When i asked Tim previously, he told me they went up behind the dash down the side (see pic below) Is this correct? If so, can anyone do a pic of how they have mounted theirs. I have looked through the build manual and it seems i am missing the page with this bit on.

Cheers

Matt

Pics seem to be ok now!!

I had same problem the only place I could get the strange shaped piece was on the sides below the windscreen pillar and can't remember where the other bit went.

(the board wont allow me to upload pics!! Werner - Can you take a look please?! :))
Can't be certain having not seen your pic's but one approximately triangular piece gets bonded from just behind the door to front bulkhead with the pointy bit near the base of the screen pillar . Then you can put an alloy tube from that , around the screen down to the other side . The piece referred to as ''inner sill ''goes between the sill and the footwells , just about level with the 50mm chassis tube as it passes the footwells .
Having said that , I cut mine out to fit the side exit exhaust so I wouldn't worry about it strength wise --- the others are important though.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Yes , the pic's tell the story as I described ----- the scuttle is obvious , just bond in place with f/glass or Sikaflex it in . Your pic' of the inner sill piece goes in just as I said although due to Tim's better hinge design , it's a slightly different shape to the ones Pete P. sent out . In fact they were drawn on the door that you have to cut out to fit the proper door SO you had to cut them out yourself
Anyway , they just fit the shape of the lower sill so push them in untill a snug fit THEN bond or Sikaflex in.
