part build Stylus

Post by Werner Van Loock »

After 3 years, 3 kids a house and an attic to finish I've come to the conclusion that it's not going to happen (fast). If I see that it takes me more then 6 months to get a as good as ready striker on the road, so just have to face it. Sell it or stock it.

So my stylus is up for sale.

Bought it myself in 2006 being in a barn for 8 years being rolling chassis. But I haven't done much more then that in 3 years time.

It can be dismantled in a few evenings to a bare kit again.

kit includes:

RHD (uk) chassis with all suspension parts
escort 3.89 english axle and escort mk2 modified front struts
All bodywork in good shape with everything included (doors, bonnet, bootlid, inner tub, some still in original bubble wrap)
Ford Zetec silvertop 1.8 removed from running donor
new silicone hoses and new polo rad
Ford sierra T9 gearbox, uk type (starter on correct side)
selfmade wiring loom with ford mondeo main fusebox
brand new injection fuel pump and filter
unused fisher fury fiberglass seats
all lights (porsche style headlights (uk dip) coming from Rob, all other lights brand new landrover lights)
rebuilt standard M16 front calipers with new green stuff pads, rear drums have new slave cylinders and brake shoes
SCC supplied AVO shocks with the corrected grade springs (eg 225 front and 180 rear)
Sierra steering column with original steering wheel (sva) and stalks
mini windscreen wiper system
original uk paperwork

my fixed price is 3500€ (so is dependant on exchange rate and currently doesn't help me)
(I'm only selling due to no time and taking up space)

contact by email: wvl AT clubstylus.be or +32-499.96.95.00

Main missing parts are a rolbar, propshaft and windscreen and some smallparts

possible to be sold with:

GSX-R throttle bodies with SS inlet manifold
SS exhaust manifold with lambda hole that needs to be modified to fit
VEMS ECU with all hardware like wideband lambda sensor

like I bought it (without the wheels and pinto)

currently in a more advanced state, but close to this

Werner

Thats a real shame, especially given your support of the Stylus & efforts creating this forum 8)

I was waiting for the day when you'd have her on the road.
Now if you spent a weekend attaching the body to the chassis. you'd feel so much better about it !
So that's a '98 chassis you have, who's was it originally ??

A sorted Striker will be a good substitute as & when you get the time.
Just make sure that gets finished, or it'll be another 20 years till the kids leave home.....

Rob, it's not sold yet, if it doesn't sell i might take it apart to tuck it away for some time and do it properly later on.
The forum doesn't require a lot of work so no worries there. Only the website should need some attention to get up to date.

sold to a dutch guy, so it's staying abroad.

Good thing is that it will get finished this time. He already has built and still owns a mojo and his dad has a striker and another seven (don't know wich)

It's gone now

official stylusless

They're going to use a flyscreen, so if someone is interested in the fibreglass section that's used to connect to the top of the windscreen for mounting a roof, drop me a pm and I'll pass it on to them.
