Just bought a 14 to 1 geared starter with swivel plate to allow adjustment fitment wise from Luke . He races a SABRE in the FIA run historic sports so also likes a ' car fund ' . £130 This now means I'll be able to start my engine many times if needed which before was tricky with the crossflow starter and BMW bike battery. The battery weighed 5kgs so a RED TOP 8 at 2.7kgs will now be used easily

This is one of Luke's geared starters with his own design alloy casting plus spacer and adjustable bolting plate . It gets drilled so that the plate is the right angle to the starter which will then fit against the engine/sump.
The photo shows a tempory plate with many holes to use as a pattern for the new plate (laying down)

Yes , and way cheaper than any opposition I know of I could buy two for the price some charge for one and NO adjustment possible
