Hi All
When I was at Eelmoor the guys that know pointed out I could do with a high back seat to prevent whiplash.
I know Tim does a GRP shell, & I've yet to ask the price.
I've also seen Furies & Strikers with Tillet kart seats in GRP & Carbon, but the price is a bit steep.
I could also do with fitting it on runners for the little lady, so how do they mount to the floor ?
Rob, stop laughing !!!! She want's a go & is now in the FDMC !
Anybody got any other recommendations ?

seats for the lady !
Just buy the seat you fancy for the drivers side and the passenger one can be anything , just mount it right at the back fixed. Fix the drivers seat where you need it then make a ' foam bag ' seat for ' her ' when she drives it -- it'll just be a liner like tim has for himself and it simply lifts out.

These look like seats that are in mine at the moment, or perhaps a wider stylus version (like Rob's old ones).
I originally had them leather trimmed, but over time they got a bit damp & mouldy, so I've just taken the covers off.
Makes sense now anyway, as I've got no lid for the car since I've fitted the taller rollbar.
So plain GRP seats are much more water friendly.
On the road these seats were really excellent, trimmed or not, plenty comfortable on long cruising runs.
What I'm looking at now is the safety aspects of a race/trackday accident, ie whiplash, etc.
I certainly noticed the need for better head & neck protection during the spin & slow speed accident I had at eelmoor.
Only really noticable when you start chucking it around, & not on the day, but the day after.

I used to have a low back seat in the kart, not for long mind you the pain i used to get in my neck muscles just from accelerating was ridiculous so i went high back much better, the only trouble was i opted for one that was a tad small and busted my ribs from the Gs cornering, so either get one that is slightly to big and pad it out or have one made to your shape, because if like me you will have a hell of a job trying to find one that fits really well, but then again the stylus might not corner as quickly as the kart.
You are dead right about the day after though i'm in pain just thinking about it

I've got a set of the Fury seats, and they are VERY tight, even on me and I've got a pretty narrow waist! I've also got a headrest pad fitted to the cross-member of the roll bar which is pretty much perfectly placed so that you can rest you head on it drive pretty comfortably. Mine's foam, but I think I've seen one on the Slyva Mojo or Riot that is covered in vinyl that looks pretty smart.
Incidentally, I saw a Riot on the A14 last weekend. Looks really smart, I think I would be interested if I ever replaced the Stylus.
