Fury body on a Stylus chassis ????
Fury body on a Stylus chassis ????
Hello all. I have an issue with my Stylus bodyshell. The issue being I don't have one...I purchased a chassis from SSC back in 2002 and built it up to a full rolling chassis complete with Raw 4AGE 20v engine. That was in the first few months. Since then due to lack of time / money / space and the addition of three little ones to the family the Stylus has been put on hold. After that short break in activity, I now want to continue the build. From what I can gather and from the posts I have read, Tim stopped supplying bodyshells a long time ago. If I understand correctly, the Fury and later the Stylus are both derivatives of the Sylva Stryker. Does anybody know if the Fury bodyshell would fit, without too much modification, on to the Stylus chassis?? I recently emailed Stephen Hughes of Fury Sports Cars with the same question. His reply was it should do but didn't know of anybody who had gone down that route. He also suggested the Spyder body without doors may be the best option. Ideally I would still like to get hold of a classic Stylus bodyshell but the chances of that look very slim. Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

If you PM me , I'll give you my email and mobile . There may be a possibility of a new shell but it won't be fast
Regarding other Sylva shells , the Stylus chassis is wider and the chassis sides much lower to allow deeper doors so bonding other shells could be very tricky . Putting Stylus shell onto other chassis is no problem because Jeremy made the first Stylus as a body shell change . Body height over the engine could also be very difficult as Stylus's were made much higher bonnet wise for easy engine fitment without bulges .

I would be supprised if Tim didnt sort out a shell for you! He doesnt mold them himself and so doesnt really have to do anything to get one made!
