I currently have the bonnet secured on my Stylus by two locating pegs and two locks at the screen / scuttle end.
I'm, considering removing the pegs and fitting hinges or gas rams as it's a a pain taking the bonnet off then finding somewhere to store it when working in the engine bay.
I dont have a build manual so dont know what the factory spec was - has anyone done this mod and do you have any advice or tips re suitable hinges and best place to locate them onto the bonnet or chassis ?

The factory hinges are the similar to the boot item. It needs a lot of room to swing in the engine bay. I dont know about rams (hydraulic ones) they may be to strong.
I think just removing the bonnet as you are is still the best option. But if you want some hinges my set are spare.
