V8 went tonight. Most fun car I've owned .
Need a new car for more regular use. Can't build one as allergic to glassfibre, so scanning the ads for a ready built one, and waiting for Tim to give me a price for a new one with glassfibre all done. If anyone knows of another V8 for sale, there are two people after them. IMHO perfect everyday car: Tweaked Vitesse V8 Stylus IRS LPG. I just wonder if Neville Powell might modify a new IRS chassis for a V8? .....dream on.....
that's right Alex....bought the car with a zetec engine, bought the new duratec engine in advance and got all the plans together. When I collected the car, came out in a very unpleasant blistering, which is some accute form of dermatitis. It is a reaction to glassfibre, and I had no sleep for days. Can not risk getting near uncoated glassfibre, so building a car is out of the question. I always felt itchy when near glassfibre in the past, but nothing like this. It was horrible.

Go for it Paul you'll have the all singing/dancing new chassis/suspension tweeks and a well mounted body ----------- should have kept the Duratec to stick in it
Rob(if you get a new one I'll be jealous )
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ ! Alfa Red 159 2.4 jtdm ti 260bhp 365lbft / BilsteinB12 + Adjustable Powerflex camber/castor bushes. Red STYLUS 2lt zetec 231bhp 185lbft Dunnell . RED 1972 Alfa 2lt GTAm replica 170bhp.
You mentioned previously that you had an issue with fibre glass, i assumed no worse than anyone else, but blistering and lack of sleep is beyond the call of duty (for fun anyway!)
Just curious, but have you sold everything on yet? (I'm not looking for another project just yet, although....)
The decision to make a hurried exit was an obvious one in the circumstances, and someone bought the whole lot with both engines immediately. All i've got left is a pair of Clarke car building dollies.....and no toys!
