I think its easier to just wind the boost up by one PSi than do all that weight loss malarky
Not much of an update really but I thought i would post as its been quiet.
The engine mounts are made, going to be solid for now as there isnt much room in the tunnell for the gearbox to move or twist.
The g/box mount is made, the prop is the right length but the g/box end fits the spline on the box but the OD of the bit that slides over the spline is smaller than the oil seal which is a shame as if it fitted and sealed it would be job done. Never mind.
I have pulled the engine apart to assess the damage of which there is very little which is handy. I'll take some pictures when i have cleaned it up, its in soak at the moment
. I'll also take some piccys as i put it back together so you can see how easy a rotary is to build.
I cut the mk2 escort pedal box off, i am now on the hunt for a complete (preferably floor mounted) pedal box like the OBP ones so if any knows anyone selling one, let me know. Of if anyone has any advice re master cylinders or spare M/C's they wanna sell, i'm interested.
I had to cut the section of chassis that runs from the top of the inside drivers foot tunnell to the front of the chassis as the turbo goes there, there isnt one on the passenger side which is strange so i will put it back and add one to the passenger side.
Need to jet wash the 'engine bay' and paint any bits of chassis that need it.
