ah i see, i have the full hood, brackets, rail and hinge hoops etc. It doesnt fit now i have the roll cage. I emailed Softbitsfor7s and they can make me a half hood which i will look to get done next year. Just want to stop it filling up with water, not fussed about the back part.
I will sell the hood if someone is interested. Its in good condition with no rips etc.

Yes -- news
but not good news
Tim phoned me xmas day then I contacted him earlier in January . It's no different than when he was running SSC on a daily basis , Duffey is still a law unto himself regarding what he does and when
Tim's chased him on my behalf and mostly gets the answerphone plus no reply from that . I've got a feeling that as SSC hasn't ordered a body since 2006 , the moulds have been pushed aside somewhere in his farm yard and can't be used until they're refurbished ----- only a guess of course
Then of course his business is farming and the Darion project , so with the price they are he's not particularly bothered about one Stylus needing a half body

If it goes round to May/June then I'll try to find a part build and sell off the bits OR if he's not going to use it , buy Anton's body that I located for him at less than 1/4 the SSC price . Really don't want to do that though because I've ordered a light weight race half body from Tim
-- much prefer that route now I've damaged it and gain some advantage from the shunt

Rob, if push comes to shove, could you graft a fury or similar front onto your? would obviously be a lot of work but do able

I built the Stylus because I liked JP's racing heritage and wanted a full bodied car but hated the Fury's front/rear and stance . No , just don't fancy it plus the work would be enormous due to the width and lines/shape -- it would look a ' dog '
I also prefer the ' dog-leg ' bonnet fit as Tim's done it which gives much more rigidity than the Fury 's flip --- right up to the bulkhead plus straight across
I'll just have to hang on

Is there any possibility that Tim could be persuaded to retrieve the moulds and use a different supplier?

Well he could do but why would he bother from his point of view
Duffey's done a better job than previous moulders for SSC , plus it's on his doorstep . We have every motive but there's non for him , he's got a far better life with the business he's got now
For the odd twit like me who's daft enough to crash and needs body/bits once in 3 years --- it's not worth the hastle/cost to him

Great news
Tim text me to say the body will be ready by the end of this month / 3 weeks
Very pleased
I was begining to accept that it could be summer or worse . Should have it sorted apart from spraying by the end of March
