That really is an amazing engine plus the R500 would have been very shocked
Cost comparison for him was a shock too or didn't you tell him
It's nice that Stylus's are rare enough that people have no idea what it is that beat them
You'd obviously blow me away along the straights , I'm all done at 135mph absolute max
They do attract attention once people have seen them run . At Goodwood no one gave mine a passing glance until after the 1st run then they were nosying around in the paddock bay quite a lot but too shy to ask what the hell it was ----- a few did

Just got my time card this morning and it really is odd that the Escort couldn't get closer or beat me when you consider his ' spec '
Also I didn't perform as I have done other years. It would have been nice to attach a pic of his car with the front and rear body detached ---- it was very impressive
I think if Tim had been in it , I'd have had a harder time
FTD Lola Tegra Judd 79.4 sec's
Sports Libre over 1800cc Escort M1 space frame 104.78 sec's 51st overall / 2nd in class
SSC Stylus 97.99 sec's 31st overall / 1st in class
Entries ----- 99

Just had the final instructions for the CTCRC Goodwood sprint , apparently they've never done one before , or at least one at Goodwood
Looks like there's 4 sports libre cars . A Radical , Fury R1 , Escort space frame/know him
plus yours truly SSC Stylus ---- it would be nice without the ' wet ' though
(EDIT -- these aren't in one group
- they're split into me plus Escort THEN Fury plus Radical)
I see there are some interesting big V8 Yanky cars entered . They'll be interesting to watch through the chicane
I'm number 53 parked in paddock spot 53 , unsurprisingly
Anyone coming to spectate/take the p -------- ss
Kevin and Liz are also entered in their class

That's good , Marty and Frances too -- don't know if Matt's coming though , he's busy tearing his Stylus apart
There are 3 Sylva marque cars at Llandow on Saturday for the JPSC trackday using my ARB's . Two Phoenix and a Fury so looking for feed back
There may be others with them fitted but I only know of these three.

Really good day for me having knocked 2 sec's plus , off my April lap time at Goodwood. Today the best lap standing start was 95.48 sec's which was helped by staying in 5th through '' no name '' --- bit scary but it was worth it , so feel happier with my performance after the April event. So a 1st in class for the CTCRC Sprint
I feel very sorry for Kevin and Liz , after their engine went 'plonk' later in the afternoon sessions
but when he's in a better frame of mind you'll no doubt read his report on the forum.

Nice, 2 secs is a big chunck of time. Had some good weather for it too.
Wish someone could teach me to drive as I think the stylus can drive a damn site better than me. I just cant feel what the back end is doing, but I guess thats all down to learning the car.

You are too far away and this isn't set up advice BUT having said that ---- to learn what the car is doing if there's no feel ----------- wind the rear up until it oversteers very easily on the throttle but please be very careful on tight corners on the the road or if wet , while experimenting. You'll feel that
if you turn the wheel at slowish speed and press the throttle = oversteer = rear end wants to come passed
From this setting you can go up & down until it's talking to you but not dangerous , that way you'll learn what the chassis is doing and saying
Probably a good idea to measure the front/rear chassis height first. Rear = under your seat pan there's a 25mm's tube where the alloy meets the steel --- measure to the ground there. Front = measure under the lowest front 50 x 25 mm's chassis tube . If the rear is 25mm's higher then it should oversteer in normal conditions without much provacation.
P.M. me if you want more detail ok

Just had to put these two pic's up , curticy of Stu' Farley , from the 15th May Goodwood event. Don't think I've ever lifted a wheel that clear through the chicane exit
Look at the Escort space frame also trying bloody hard to beat my time
You can't actually see him (Nigel Baker)through the driver's window because his seating position is in the rear
