They may not care but their info says road going
so I wrote to them asking if they would accept a previously road going car that now only has an MSA log book -- sent pic's etc . Had a nice reply saying welcome

rob, in regards to painting your car, i painted mine with very good results. i have all the kit to spray the paint including a descent gun and a 3hp compressor with a big tank that i'm sure you could borrow. as for spraying, its easy. its the prep work that takes the time and as long as you don't rush it you'll get a good finish. if you get runs, even they can be cut back.
up to you mate but the kit is there to borrow should you need it. i could even give you a hand if you wanted.

I'm really grateful for your offer Alec , but I couldn't manage all that prep' , getting old has it's disadvantages like not being able to convert to rose joints in your shoulders etc
(got one in my hip though
) As it is , working on the car has painful consequences , just using spanners and a saw blade
Time also is a factor -- I've registered into the Championship and entered one event so if it's not ready I'll lose that money
Also , it's Tuesday already and I've not heard that the body's ready so far
Then there's all the fittings to make/fit , indicators to wire and cut into the body , arches to enlarge/flair -- etc etc
If I'd had the body in 2008 maybe I'd take another view but I'm under pressure now

ok then no problem!
if you need a hand spannering or anything like that though and time is really getting tight, give me a shout and i'll come and give you a hand. i'm still hoping to be down soon anyway.

Well , '' early next week '' has been and gone
--- so hoping to fit a front flip this weekend's out too
I think this 'Duffee' character must be earning too much
I'll have to phone the paint guys and put it off also cancel my Goodwood April sprint entry
Tim's probably getting pissed off receiving texts and emails from me too

No other info , just that text this morning
I'm trying to put Tim's proposed build manual that he wrote in 2006 up on the site but having no success yet --- too big maybe
It's been in my files since I first read it then the business ceased

It'll be arriving late evening on Monday 6th April but he has it in the van ready plus a few hood rails and headlight covers. I 've asked him to bring whatever he's got
Thought I'd be busy this weekend

Have you fitted the FIA dry break on the fuel line yet? If not, its something for you to do this weekend.
