When we all went down to LLANDOW for the Stylus day in August 2007, Tim did come but at that point hadn't sold a kit for at least a year . So probably at some point at the end of 2005 or beginning of 2006 , was the last kit sold
I think Pete&Matt have the last road kit sold, which they say in earlier posts was in 2004.
Tim then built his LHD IRS chassis for a customer order which was never sold/delivered - l think that's the last one & the chassis Tim was building up for his own use/demo.
Would need to get Tim in a pub to find out what else happened at the time & since, if you can find him
Numbers wise, it is fairly logical really & split into 3 groups.
Sylva / Jeremy supplied kits are SF or S prefix, with a 92-95 date + 2 digit chassis no.
Early ones are Fury chassis, late ones are Stylus.
Mike Burke has "no.17" and I think is the last Sylva supplied chassis.
At a guess - Approx 10-15 sold.
Specialist Sportscars - SSC(1) - are SSC prefix, with a 96 to 03 date + 2 digit chassis no.
All Stylus chassis, most live axle, some de-dion.
Starting Chassis No 10. No.10-24 made by Nev Powell
Latest chassis on the register is 114 (Whiterabbit). The only one that doesn't fit this is Giacomo's Italian demo car - No 179.
At a guess - Approx 100-110 sold
Stylus Sportscars - SSC(2) - are SSC prefix, not dated, then [R/S RT/Classic] [ L/I Live/Ind] [xxx Chass No]
Tim went his own way on numbering in an effort to start fresh & identify his own cars.
Not a happy story though - First car 010 was Alec's car, Last sold kit 013 was Pete&Matt, plus the LHD chassis 014.
I might be wrong, but I make that 5 cars that Tim produced. One day I'll ask him !
So low numbers, plus poor kitcar marketplace, plus illness, plus other troubles No wonder he decided to back out for a while
Overall - 115 to 130 Stylus chassis manufactured. Registered road cars - about 50.
Timewasting though it is - I quite like this detective work !
